Day 12 of 40 days of prosperity

” I lift up my mind and heart to be aware, to understand and to know that the Divine Presence I AM is the source and Substance of All my Good.”

I am continually brought back to my complete dependance on the Source of my Life. This source, the Divine, God, omnipresent water of life who is ALL Good, ALL the time is the only source of everything.

This Source is not static but in constant circulation. The Divine Energy is always “moving upon the face of the deep” ocean of its infinite Goodness. It is a Divine circle just as the water of the ocean evaporates in the warmth of the sun circulating through the either and pouring down to form the rivers flowing back to the ocean.

So to this energy flows through us as money as we then give it out after it has prospered us it then prospers everyone connected to the particulars of the situation.

Just as water in the rivers and the oceans gives life to everything it touches so to does money give support and growth within the situation it is given. Money is the Good, Divine, energetic, medium given us to prosper, an easy means of energy exchange.

Just think of how much energy you spend to make money. Then with that money you can redirect that same energy into places that will benefit others who are also investing their energy into making the things you want. This is the Buddhist teaching of interdependence.

However I must remember that money is not my source it is a representation of my Source just as bread is not my source of life because “Man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds (flows) from the mouth of God.”

I lift up my heart and mind in gratefulness for ALL the manifestations of Divine abundance that will flow through me today.

Thank you God.

” I lift up my mind and heart to be aware, to understand and to know that the Divine Presence I AM is the source and Substance of All my Good.”

Send Peace

Send Peace.

Today I’d like to continue with my thoughts about Boston. How are we to be at peace with our “enemies”?

The first and most important part is to be at peace with our selves. After all we can’t give what we don’t have. Once we have decided to pursue this course and we begin to surrender our fears to God and ask for His help peace will begin to settle into our lives. This is a continual process of growth wherein we begin to see the cause of our anxieties are rarely outside of us. The more we become at peace with our inner shadow many things will no longer trouble us. It is thru the process of surrender to God and forgiveness of ourselves and others we will begin to experience the “Peace that surpasses understanding.”

The next step is to begin to give this peace away. Peaceful people do this automatically and not always consciously but by just being at peace they radiate it out to the world. However there will arise situations that require a conscious prayer a “sending of peace” into situations that trouble us.

Because of our journey in discovering our shadow side and finding peace and forgiveness with it we can now relate to the anger and hatred of others and apply the same remedies for them as we applied to ourselves: surrender and forgiveness.

One of the reasons I like the Aramaic translations of the New Testament is the beauty of the poetry and the poignancy of the message becomes so much more obvious. In Roth’s translation of Romans 15:33-16:23 (Netzari Press 2009) he uses the phrase, “send peace” 21 times and twice the phrase “Elohim of Peace.”

His footnote on the phrase is very illuminating: “Often rendered as “salute.” However shalo b’ shlama literally translates as send (through) peace. “Shalom”—the same word—can also mean “hello, goodbye and peace”, but shalo b’ shlama carries a more profound significance in that each one extends and participates in the blessings and prosperity of each other both material and spiritual [italics mine]….Rather, by using this term we are extending peace, reassurance and our love and sending it their way.”

Of course Paul was writing to people of a congregation of Christians in Rome and sending peace to them but there is nothing that says we can’t do the same for those who wish us harm. Jesus asks us to.

A Course in Miracles points out that every attack is a cry for help. So lets help them. By our very presence we can send peace to all those who are hurting and crying for help. As we walk thru the world today maybe we can, we will never know who we have helped be at peace and maybe stopped some random act of violence.

Our only responsibility is to be the peace we wish to see and surrender the rest to the Elohim of peace.

Click  Here is one way to end the violence.

Luke 6: 27 This is what I say to all who will listen to me:

Love your enemies, and be good to everyone who hates you. 28 Ask God to bless anyone who curses you, and pray for everyone who is cruel to you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, don’t stop that person from slapping you on the other cheek. If someone wants to take your coat, don’t try to keep back your shirt. 30 Give to everyone who asks and don’t ask people to return what they have taken from you. 31 Treat others just as you want to be treated.

32 If you love only someone who loves you, will God praise you for that? Even sinners love people who love them.33 If you are kind only to someone who is kind to you, will God be pleased with you for that? Even sinners are kind to people who are kind to them. 34 If you lend money only to someone you think will pay you back, will God be pleased with you for that? Even sinners lend to sinners because they think they will get it all back.

35 But love your enemies and be good to them. Lend without expecting to be paid back.[e] Then you will get a great reward, and you will be the true children of God in heaven. He is good even to people who are unthankful and cruel.36 Have pity on others, just as your Father has pity on you.

In this time in of sorrow and grief our hearts cry out for answers. We naturally want an end to all the violence. Boston is just the latest, and as we are well aware now not the last, we naturally look for a solution.

The kingdom of the world offers no solutions. It never has and never will. Dr. Hawkins has stated that for 97% of the worlds history there has been violence and war. Fear, anger, hatred and revenge always lead to the same. One Boston official declared that we will get revenge. If revenge is taken it will be returned. We always get what we give, without exception. Attack brings fear of attack this is why guns are so important to those living in fear. And all the legislation and fear of punishment has never stopped anyone from committing heinous acts. People who do such things no longer care.

The official, calling for revenge is no different than those who committed the crimes. After all our officials only reflect those they serve. Not all their constituents, but I’m sure there are many people in this nation who are reveling right now in the just punishment of these two young men.

Do we wish to end the violence?

We must not meet anger with hatred.

God has been telling us for centuries how to avoid and end ALL violence. The most important line from the quote above is not the body of the text but the first line, “…All who will listen to me.” God has been speaking, have we been listening?

Where is God during the senseless violence and catastrophes? He is in the hearts of ALL those running towards the danger. They are the ones who listened.

Bless you all and pray for all those whom we think of as our “enemies”. Send peace to all those you see as a threat to you.
