Day 11 of 40 days of prosperity.

Prologue; Mr Price says that this 40 day Plan involves going thru the previous ten affirmations four times. This is very important as we need to continually reprogram our minds away from the hypnotic programming we have received since birth. This is why I continually read many Holy books over and over again and also practice what I have read as best I can. This repetition will keep us centered, looking forward to our goal of accepting our unity with God and all Goodness.

He also points out; “Since you have already received an all-sufficiency of supply (all that Infinite Mind has is yours now), you can Prove this Truth to your deeper mind by sharing your supply on a regular basis while you are working with the Plan. Giving is an esoteric science that never fails to produce results if it is done with love and joy, because the Law will shower you with a pressed down and multiplied return. But if you tithe (and I really prefer ‘sharing’ to tithing) as a mechanical and calculated method to please God, unload guilt, meet a sense of obligation and play a bartering game with the Law, no one benefits–not even the receiver. Give with love, joy and a sense of fun and the windows of heaven will be thrown open with a blast.”

Now on to today’s meditation.

Although Mr. Prices affirmations will be the same my contemplations on them will be different, In-Joy.

“God is lavish, unfailing Abundance, the rich omnipresent substance of the Universe. This all-providing Source of infinite prosperity is individualized as me-the reality of me.”

Who am I? I cannot deny my own existence but somehow I don’t know who I am. The wise and holy saints and sages who have blessed us thru the ages point out to not know who I am is blindness. This “blindness” is self-imposed (with a lot of help from the world we live in). A while back I did a simple exercise, to write down all the phrases describing who I am: I am David, I am a son, I am a father, I am a caregiver, I am a husband, I am divorced, I am hungry….on and on and on with all the things that came to mind as the ways I identify myself until I could think of no more adjectives. I was left with the simple statement, I am.

Our entry into this world has blinded us to this essential fact of our existence.

At the root of everything that I think that defines me “I am” is the foundation. This of course echos the famous answer God gave to Moses when he was asked “Who should I say sent me?” “I am that I am” was Gods reply. This is no accidental definition or accidental similarity.

We are as God created us, Like God created us in every way. In Gods Image and Likeness. And Like God the Real us is incorruptible and in complete communication at all times with the Oneness of our Father Creator. And like all earthly fathers who give us their names God has given us His name. “I am.”

Every enlightened master I have read has said as much about themselves and about the rest of the human race. Jesus says; “Don’t you know that you are gods?” and “You are the Light of the world.”

Watching my thoughts throughout the day I have discovered that the ‘I am…” is the most repeated two words–or variations of–in my vocabulary. Pay attention to your conversation today and see if it isn’t so. Every ‘I’ statement is a recognition of this basic fact of our Oneness with God, the “I am that I am.” I am hungry.; I am going shopping.; I am going to the bathroom…..; on and on and on. The ‘I am’ is doing this, all of this.

So how about adding one more description; I am One with the Lavish God, unfailing Abundance, the rich Omnipresent substance of the universe. I am One with this All-providing Source of infinite of prosperity. I am the individualized Reality of God as me. In me and thru me.

“God is lavish, unfailing Abundance, the rich omnipresent substance of the Universe. This all-providing Source of infinite prosperity is individualized as me-the reality of me.”

Day 10 of 40 days of prosperity

“I keep my mind and thoughts off “this world” and I place my entire focus on God within as the only cause of my prosperity. I acknowledge the inner presence as the only activity in my financial affairs, as the substance of all things visible. I place my faith in the Principle of Abundance in action within me.”

What attracted me to Mr. Prices approach to prosperity is his emphasis on God alone as the source of all abundance and that this abundant source is actually in me.

It is easier to accept that the omnipresent is present everywhere in the universe than it is to accept the fact that Gods presence is in me. But if this omnipresence dose not include me then God would not be omnipresent, there would be a hole in the universe where God does not exist. If it is possible for me to be excluded then there are billions of others in the same predicament. Gods so called omnipresence would be like Swiss Cheese. Full of holes and smelly.

Fortunately for the entire human race Gods omnipresence is like a breath of fresh air which surrounds us and is our very life. Air wouldn’t do much good if it stayed outside of us. It touches me all over inside and out. This oxygen is so important that without it I would end up very quickly in the next phase of my spiritual growth. This wind, this breath of God, this invigorating and energizing power surrounds me and permeates my whole being to a greater and more perfect extant than the air surrounding us. This is the Holy Spirit the giver and sustainer of life of which our physical air is but a mere shadow.

This God in me is the only cause of my prosperity and I depend on it for my very Life.

This Life wants to give me the kingdom. In this Kingdom there is no poverty only Abundance and I can have as much as I want, to accomplish all my desires for the enrichment of myself and the rest of humanity.

Abundance is designed to flow thru me as the energetic power of God just as air moves in and out through all the pours of my body.

“I keep my mind and thoughts off “this world” and I place my entire focus on God within as the only cause of my prosperity. I acknowledge the inner presence as the only activity in my financial affairs, as the substance of all things visible. I place my faith in the Principle of Abundance in action within me.”

Day 7 of 40 days of Prosperity.

“The Divine Consciousness that I am is forever expressing its true nature of Abundance. This is its responsibility, not mine. My only responsibility is to be aware of this Truth. Therefore, I am totally confident in letting God appear as the abundant all sufficiency in my life and affairs.”

Once I understand who God really is via the life and teachings of Jesus–his one purpose is to correct our perception of God the Father: That God does not hate us and only wants to give us Himself; dis-spell us of our dream that we are now or ever were, separate from this abundant, creative, Life of the universe.

When Jesus prayed we are to be one with the Father as he is one with the Father we become the answer to that prayer once the spell of separation is broken.

The lie of the ego/sin nature self is that God wants to “rob, kill and destroy us.” Jesus points out in John 10.10 that it is only a “thief” (ego/sin nature) who wants to do this but we think it is our “real” self and in fear project it onto God making us afraid of God. In doing so this thief has robbed us of our true connection, our oneness with God because we believe this lie. Let the spell be broken.

As pointed out in previous meditations (here and here) God does only ONE thing–give. Jesus as Gods representative tells us he came so everyone, not a chosen few would have life and have it abundantly.

Abundance in life, however I envision it, will be given to me. The question I need to answer is; is God a thief who wants to impoverish me or is God a generous, life affirming God, who wants us to have an Abundant Life? There is no compromise between the two. Because what agreement can darkness have with Light or a lie with the Truth?

“The Divine Consciousness that I am is forever expressing its true nature of Abundance. This is its responsibility, not mine. My only responsibility is to be aware of this Truth. Therefore, I am totally confident in letting God appear as the abundant all sufficiency in my life and affairs.”

Antoinette Tuff and the Averted School Shooting: God’s Love in Action

Spiritual Insights for Everyday Life

Last week, on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, Michael Brandon Hill, 20, walked into an elementary school armed with an AK-47 assault rifle and 500 rounds of ammunition. The elementary school was the Ronald E. McNair Discovery Learning Academy in Decatur, Georgia.

Hill fired only six shots.

No one died that day. No one was even injured.

Why not?

Because in the front office of the school, that troubled young man met Antoinette Tuff.

And Antoinette Tuff loved him into laying down his weapon and surrendering to the police.

But if you ask her, it was God’s doing.

Antoinette Tuff: A Vessel for God

Yes, Antionette Tuff was one of three school staff who had received training for handling potentially dangerous situations.

However, she was not even supposed to be in that place at that time. Here’s a segment of her interview with Anderson Cooper on CNN, in which…

Omni-Benevolence part 1

Omni-Benevolence part 1

In my theology classes I do not remember talking about Omni-Benevolence. There was always the traditional Al powerful, All-knowing and Present everywhere God but not the specific phrase Omni-Benevolence. Of course “God is love” was mentioned all the time and emphasized as the reason behind ALL of Gods actions as seen in the Bible. I just find it curious an “ALL GOOD GOD” did not accompany the three traditional Omnis.

Omni-Benevolence is the most important of the Omnis. In fact it is the one major revelation of God that is not automatically apparent when viewing the natural world which could account for “Omni-Benevolence” not being accounted among the Omnis. Also in our need to anthropomorphize God an ALL good supreme being is a difficult concept to grasp since we rarely see in man or nature examples of this quality. Nature can be extremely cruel, unforgiving, impersonal and destructive. And that is just nature. Human nature can take on such a turn of evil upon any slight or offense real or imagined. The endless struggle for sustenance and the watching out for predators both animal and human plus random acts of unprovoked violence often leaves people so afraid they won’t leave their own homes. Life does not appear to be ‘good’ ALL the time.

If there was any quality of God that must be ‘revealed’ to us it is that God is good. An all knowing, all powerful and all present God who is also good and loving and kind ALL the time is really counterintuitive. In scripture we often find an all powerful God being the instigator of many events we consider not good at best and when looked at thru modern eyes downright evil.

The first mention of ‘goodness’ being associated with God found in the Bible is in Genesis when God finished creating the world he called it good. This linking the works of God to goodness was part of the oral traditions of the Hebrew people probably long before it was written in the middle 5th century BCE. It appears though this goodness was always provisional based upon the behavior of His chosen people. They had to be commanded to love their God and to treat others as best they could. Commanding obedience or else sets up a relationship of fear not of love. Obviously submitting obedience to a good ruler is much better than a murderous dictator however the idea we will be punished for not submitting rankles in the hearts of people who love freewill and are naturally prone to want to live as they please. Hence all the ups and downs of the Hebrews described in the Jewish scriptures as the result of the conflict between a Good God who orders subservience and people who exercise their freedom of choice.

This ‘good world’ created by God was often seen as the very instrument God would use to punish disobedience making God seem not so good at all.

Gods commands to love him first and completely and to treat our neighbors like we would want to be treated is of course for our own well being as well as our neighbors if followed as a rule of life would indeed lead to a very harmonious society.

All I’m trying to point out here is we do not have any idea what an all good being is. We are cemented in the world of duality a world of good and evil. This was the lie of the serpent that we would be like God if we came to know both good and evil. Believing that God “knows” evil would not make him an ALL good God. In my view real knowledge and being are the same thing. In God there is no knowing about like we humans know about many evil things but are not evil ourselves. We are kinda of all mixed  up about the whole good and evil conundrum, sometimes showing great acts of both goodness and evil. Many heroes in our mythologies and current dramas are the ones who battle their own evil tendencies and once conquered become the savior of the day. This is not God though. An ALL good God has no evil tendencies to conquer. God does not know evil nor does he know about evil. Evil could never enter his mind.

This knowing that I’m talking about is like we know how to walk. We are walking beings. It is our identity as humans. We rarely think about it unless something happens which interferes with this aspect of out being. Even learning how to walk would not happen if it weren’t a part of out genetic inheritance. Having two legs is part of the definition of humanness.

God is good and does not know evil. God was good before creation. Creation comes out of his goodness. God never changes and so would not change after humans decided to not follow his injunctions. God had no reason to be angry before creation and we have not made him angry after creation. It is we who are trapped in the world of duality and believing we are like God in knowing both good and evil. This is not the truth.

Here is an interesting quote from the 7th century CE saint Isaac of Nineveh; “A handful of sand, thrown into the sea, is what sinning is, when compared to God’s Providence and mercy. Just like an abundant source of water is not impeded by a handful of dust, so is the Creator’s mercy not defeated by the sins of His creations.”

More on the Omni-Benevolence of God later.

Have a blessed day everyone.

Thought for the day : The projection of the world of illusion

Thought for the day : The projection of the world of illusion

By Dr. David R. Hawkins

“In order to project the world of illusion, the ego-self experiences itself as separate from its own creation. The greater the feeling of separation from God, the greater the anguish. As a consequence, the self now fears annihilation, death and even worse.—perhaps endless suffering at the hands of an angry, retaliatory God who has been made angry by sin. The lower levels of perception become preoccupied with energies of negativity which are the ego’s conceptions of itself at the lowest levels. It now fears its own worst projections and struggles with the opposites of heaven and hell.

Man is therefore not the victim of an ‘out there’ to be feared, but its originator. These imaginations are not even personal but merely consequences of the interaction of fields of consciousness with their hidden inner attractor fields which determine the content of each level of consciousness. The ego’s final victory is the belief that its own illusory reality created by its own projections was ‘created by God’. Thus religious truth becomes obscured by religious superstition, misinterpretations, and false beliefs. It is important to realize that that which is of God brings peace and that which is not of God brings fear.” From The Eye of the I; from which nothing is hidden.” Pg 223-4

Ego-self and sin nature are the same and seeing life thru its lens produces this insane world. Sin is insanity. Is it not insane to believe we can be separate from ALL that is which is God?
