Day 21 of 40 day Prosperity Plan

For those of you who have recently joined me on my Prosperity journey, this is inspired by The Abundance Book by John Randolph Price. His forty day plan involves 10 meditations repeated 4 times. These posts are the journaling he recommends we do following each days meditations.

“God is lavish, unfailing Abundance, the rich omnipresent substance of the universe. This all-providing Source of infinite prosperity is individualized as me—The Reality of me.”

On day fourteen I was contemplating our physical being and how it was made out of other things that in themselves are not our physical being. That who I am and also what everything else is, is made from trillions of things that are not us. That everything is empty of an individual self, and yet somehow this other stuff has all congealed into what we experience in the physical.

We are also mental and Spiritual beings. The physical is the lowest energetic vibration in what we ‘see’ or ‘think’ of as ‘solid’. Molecular science points out we are not solid but are made from a whole universe of space in a microcosm of constant movement. It turns out we are not solid at all.

The next level up in the ladder of consciousness is the soul level. This is made of things we do not see; mind, will and emotions. This ‘soul’ is also made of trillions of things–thoughts are ‘things’ on the mental level. to demonstrate this to yourself pay attention to your thoughts and see if you can have two thoughts occupying the same mental space at the same time. If you have spent anytime in meditation you will have discovered that one thought follows another just as cars follow each other on the freeway. You will also discover that you can go between each thought to a place of ‘no thought’.

In the physical world there are accidents when two cars try to occupy the same space but in the mind there are no accidents it is only because thought moves so fast they seem to be simultaneous. Our mental life is also made up of millions of thoughts that are not us. I am not these thoughts I’m writing today. I am not all the thoughts that flow through my mind each second. I am not what I think I am. Zen Buddhism’s “no Mind is a place free from the tyranny of thought. The place of transcendence of the mind where we can understand immediately and directly without the interpretation of thought. This place is the “….Reality of Me.”

In Christianity this is called the “Mind of Christ”, as Paul says “have this mind in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” The Spiritual Mind—The Reality of Me—is on the Spiritual level which is not the ‘me’ of the body or the mind it is the ME as created by God who individualized itself as each one of us. This Real Me is all those qualities we use to describe God in positive terms: Loving, Good, Peace, Joy, Abundance, Unlimited, All knowing, All Powerful, All Present, Light.

Meister Eckhart calls this Real Me the Aristocrat. Here are a few things he says about this Aristocrat: “He is taken up with the Love of God.” “He has forgotten the things of this temporal life and has been caught up into the likeness of God, having become a child of God. there is no higher grade, nothing beyond this. It is eternal rest and blessing–the end of the inner new man, eternal life.” God’s Son or Idea is like a flowing spring in the core of the soul.”

He starts out his essay this way: “Our Lord says in the gospel [Luke 19.12] ‘A Certain noble man went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.’ In these words our Lord teaches how noble man is by nature created and how divine, by grace, he may aspire to be. This is the point of a major part of the Holy Scripture.”

Day 10 of 40 days of prosperity

“I keep my mind and thoughts off “this world” and I place my entire focus on God within as the only cause of my prosperity. I acknowledge the inner presence as the only activity in my financial affairs, as the substance of all things visible. I place my faith in the Principle of Abundance in action within me.”

What attracted me to Mr. Prices approach to prosperity is his emphasis on God alone as the source of all abundance and that this abundant source is actually in me.

It is easier to accept that the omnipresent is present everywhere in the universe than it is to accept the fact that Gods presence is in me. But if this omnipresence dose not include me then God would not be omnipresent, there would be a hole in the universe where God does not exist. If it is possible for me to be excluded then there are billions of others in the same predicament. Gods so called omnipresence would be like Swiss Cheese. Full of holes and smelly.

Fortunately for the entire human race Gods omnipresence is like a breath of fresh air which surrounds us and is our very life. Air wouldn’t do much good if it stayed outside of us. It touches me all over inside and out. This oxygen is so important that without it I would end up very quickly in the next phase of my spiritual growth. This wind, this breath of God, this invigorating and energizing power surrounds me and permeates my whole being to a greater and more perfect extant than the air surrounding us. This is the Holy Spirit the giver and sustainer of life of which our physical air is but a mere shadow.

This God in me is the only cause of my prosperity and I depend on it for my very Life.

This Life wants to give me the kingdom. In this Kingdom there is no poverty only Abundance and I can have as much as I want, to accomplish all my desires for the enrichment of myself and the rest of humanity.

Abundance is designed to flow thru me as the energetic power of God just as air moves in and out through all the pours of my body.

“I keep my mind and thoughts off “this world” and I place my entire focus on God within as the only cause of my prosperity. I acknowledge the inner presence as the only activity in my financial affairs, as the substance of all things visible. I place my faith in the Principle of Abundance in action within me.”

Day 8 of 40 days of Prosperity.

” My consciousness of the Spirit within me as my unlimited source is the Divine Power to restore the years the locusts have eaten, to make all things new, to lift me up to the high road of Abundant prosperity. The awareness, understanding, and knowledge of Spirit appears as every visible form and experience that I could possibly desire.”

Gods Holy Spirit in me is doing everything I will allow it to. Including leading me to want to allow it to do more. This “leading” is not a thing of force but the gentle guidance thru the forest of my false beliefs about abundance and the Spiritual Life. I am becoming more aware of the Abundance already given, the gratefulness for every visible and invisible demonstration of Gods Spirit working all the time for my benefit which connects to the benefit of others. There is no such thing as a personal benefit. The giving cannot be done with out a giver and a receiver. The mutual exchange of life in all forms is constantly flowing and my only real need is to be an open vessel to allow this to flow in and out of me. This is the experience of The Water of Life flowing thru the downspout.

As above so below, as within so without. I am the center in the experience where God has placed me. I live and move and have my being with other beings who are having the same Divine Experience. It is in this dance we are partners in Love, giving, peace and joy.

The Holy Spirit must bless me with abundance so I can bless others. God uses people. God is the motivator and supplier of all and all I need do is be open to the flow. This my experience now.

Day 7 of 40 days of Prosperity.

“The Divine Consciousness that I am is forever expressing its true nature of Abundance. This is its responsibility, not mine. My only responsibility is to be aware of this Truth. Therefore, I am totally confident in letting God appear as the abundant all sufficiency in my life and affairs.”

Once I understand who God really is via the life and teachings of Jesus–his one purpose is to correct our perception of God the Father: That God does not hate us and only wants to give us Himself; dis-spell us of our dream that we are now or ever were, separate from this abundant, creative, Life of the universe.

When Jesus prayed we are to be one with the Father as he is one with the Father we become the answer to that prayer once the spell of separation is broken.

The lie of the ego/sin nature self is that God wants to “rob, kill and destroy us.” Jesus points out in John 10.10 that it is only a “thief” (ego/sin nature) who wants to do this but we think it is our “real” self and in fear project it onto God making us afraid of God. In doing so this thief has robbed us of our true connection, our oneness with God because we believe this lie. Let the spell be broken.

As pointed out in previous meditations (here and here) God does only ONE thing–give. Jesus as Gods representative tells us he came so everyone, not a chosen few would have life and have it abundantly.

Abundance in life, however I envision it, will be given to me. The question I need to answer is; is God a thief who wants to impoverish me or is God a generous, life affirming God, who wants us to have an Abundant Life? There is no compromise between the two. Because what agreement can darkness have with Light or a lie with the Truth?

“The Divine Consciousness that I am is forever expressing its true nature of Abundance. This is its responsibility, not mine. My only responsibility is to be aware of this Truth. Therefore, I am totally confident in letting God appear as the abundant all sufficiency in my life and affairs.”

Day 2 of 40 days of prosperity.

Daisy_1-9686-Edit

Yesterday was my first post of the insights gained while meditating on the forty days of prosperity-see it here-course suggested in the book; The Abundance Book by John Randolph Price. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to make the commitment or not that comes along with letting you know I’m doing this however I think with the intent expressed I will be able to complete this course. Sharing the insights is not a prerequisite for doing this it is just something I decided to give out knowing that in the giving is the receiving and with my desire to enrich all those who read this blog. Each day will start with the quote of the day followed by my contemplation of the topic.

“I lift up my mind and heart to be aware, to understand, and to know the Divine Presence, I AM is the Source and Substance of ALL Good.”

It is so important to recognize God first in any endeavor. To “Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added to you.”  Jesus, Matt 6.33

“I am the Lord your God who brought you out of Egypt (Bondadge) Exodus 20. 2

“Our Father who art in heaven…”

“The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want.”

On and on it goes through all the holy writings of Judaism, Christianity and here is a song from the Bhagavad-Gita Chapter 12 The Yoga of Devotion:

Quickly I come

to those who offer me

every action,

Worship me only,

Their dearest delight,

With devotion undaunted.

Because they love me

These are my bondsmen

And I shall save them

From mortal sorrow

And all the waves

O Life’s deathly ocean

Be absorbed in me,

Lodge your mind in me:

Thus you shall dwell in me,

Do not doubt it,

Here and hereafter.”

All of Psalm 91 which starts:

Live under the protection
    of God Most High
    and stay in the shadow
    of God All-Powerful.
Then you will say to the Lord,
“You are my fortress,
    my place of safety;
    you are my God,
    and I trust you.”

“In the beginning God…” Our bible starts here and this is where I must start every day and endeavor to recognize God first. I might say to the question; “How did you do that?” “Well I started with God. God is my source of inspiration and also the continued energy that brought it to completion.

Today I have started with God first and I will keep God first throughout the day. To keep him central to all I say and do.

To repeat: “I lift up my mind and heart to be aware, to understand, and to know that the Divine Presence I AM is the Source and Substance of ALL Good.”

I do start every morning with about an hour of reading and contemplation, and yes yesterday was the first day I ended the day with God first usually by the early afternoon I have forgotten all about him and by the night time forget it.

Blessings on your journey.

Changing our minds part 2

Changing our minds part 2

In part one of changing our minds I pointed out that Jesus is intent on changing how we perceive God. When he was talking in the Synagogue to people who had been taught that God was a God of vengeance and that any misstep on their parts would result in dire repercussions unless of course they participated in the wiping out of their misdeeds thru countless animal sacrifices. Guilt, blood and fear were the mainstay of their spiritual mindset. I also pointed out that Jesus left out the vengeance phrase when he quoted Isaiah 61.2 see it here.

One of the most difficult if not impossible things to do is change peoples minds. It is difficult enough on even the most trivial of matters much less on a topic of such import as God. Kinda like trying to get a camel thru the eye of a needle. Especially if the camel doesn’t want to go.

“Do not be afraid of God.”

“If you have seen me you have seen the Father.”

You have nothing to fear from God. Just watch my life and you will understand.

Fear is the hallmark of the kingdom of the world. Fear is the opposite of Love which is the hallmark of God’s kingdom. The banner at the gates of the kingdom of the world we can read Dante’s warning; “All hope abandon, ye who enter here!” At the gates of the Kingdom of God we may well read; “Do not be afraid, perfect Love casts out ALL fear.” Even the fear of God.

It is the kingdom of the world that Jesus entered.

Many times in the New Testament the people were said to be afraid of the religious authorities. And the authorities themselves were afraid of each other. Fear was as endemic then as it is now because the kingdom of the world never changed. All emotions attract similar emotions and fear is the bedrock of all negative lower conscious emotions, hence those perpetrating the fear would be the ones most afraid. Could this be the reason Nicodemus came to Jesus at night? As a member of the ruling class—the perpetrators of the fear culture—the Pharisees, he needed to come to Jesus at night to get his answers. The only Pharisees who came to Jesus during the day were solely interested in finding a way to condemn Jesus and eventually kill him.

Now to a very puzzling statement by Jesus that would seem to contradict what I have just pointed out. On the surface I always thought this was an echo of one of the many Old Testament injunctions to “Fear the LORD your God, serve him only and take your oaths in his name.” Deut.6.13

Into this spiritual darkness—was Nicodemus in spiritual darkness?—Jesus comes and says many times don not be afraid. “28“And you shall not be afraid of those who kill the body that are not able to kill the soul; rather be afraid of him who can destroy soul and body in Gehenna.”  Then Jesus goes on to describe the love and care of God;

29“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny, and not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father?” 30“But your hairs of your head are all numbered.” 31You shall not be afraid, therefore; you are better than many sparrows.”

He describes his father as a compassionate being so concerned that he knows the smallest details of our life—the hair falling from our heads. And even the tiny sparrows are counted and cared for by him. Is God the father the one Jesus is talking about?

Is God the father the one to throw your body and soul into Gehenna?

When Jesus said if you have seen me you have seen the Father is there anything at all recorded in the gospels that demonstrates the father is like that? Absolutely not.

Are we not worth much more than sparrows and the hair that collects in our drains? Would God be capable of doing such a heinous act as destroying his very life for all eternity in hell. I say his very life because ALL life is of God and is God. LIFE is God’s very nature. Would he be able to do the very thing we would condemn any human for doing. Shall we ascribe to God the role of mass destroyer? A being much worse than any perpetrator of the worst crimes committed by humans against humans?

Who is the one who destroys? Does God destroy life? How could he since He is life itself. To destroy life he would have to destroy part of himself, this makes absolutely no sense at all. Speaking nonsense and attaching God to it does not turn nonsense into rationality (C.S. Lewis). In John 10-10 Jesus says; “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

The thief here is normally understood to mean the devil. The personification of evils, the anti-life. Shall we ascribe anti-life principles to LIFE itself? Non-sense! Since I no longer believe in one individual entity that has the power approaching that of God and in fact evil itself has no real life or power over us unless we allow ourselves to live in the lower negative levels of consciousness which attracts evil spirits. This is referred to as spiritual darkness/Gehenna—this was literally the city dump used as a metaphor for a wasted life—hell. The only “one” who has that power is us. “Be afraid of him.”

Listen to what Emanuel Swedenborg says about God and people who think like this: “From these few points you can see how insane people are who think that God can condemn anyone, curse anyone, throw anyone into hell, predestine anyone’s soul to eternal death, avenge wrongs, or rage against or punish anyone. People are even more insane if they actually believe this, let alone teach it. In reality, God cannot turn away from us or even look at us with a frown. To do any such thing would be against his essence, and what is against his essence is against himself.”

This is the picture Jesus paints: God is NOT a God of vengeance, not a God to be afraid of. This is a God who is like the sun who gives His light to everyone without exception and the one who brings life giving rain to all no matter if we call them evil or good, God is constantly giving his life to ALL people. God does one thing, give.

“Don’t be afraid! I have good news for you, which will make everyone happy.” What could make us more happy than God himself coming to earth to show us what he is really like? Is not this the real good news. We no longer need be afraid, of anything. “This very day in King David’s hometown a Savior was born for you. He is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:10-12 CEV. This was spoken by an angel of the Lord. It is interesting to note that in the Old Testament every time an angel appears to someone and if their first reaction is one of fear the first thing an angel says is do not be afraid. In this Christmas story His angels say the same to both Zechariah and Mary. They say this because they saw fear in the hearts of both.

Now Joseph was afraid of public scrutiny if he took the pregnant Mary as his wife thinking she had been unfaithful to him. So the angel deals with his fear exactly where it is needed: “Do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife…”Matt. 1:20

Immediately the New Testament goes right to the heart of the world systems’ of religion, government, societal mores and personal well being and says “DO NOT BE AFRAID.” The hallmark of the world system is fear. Fear in all its forms is used to keep us in line and take away our free will. Fear makes us slaves. Love came to set the captives free.

It is my point that the fear of a bulling vengeful God is the model for all other fears. There is a saying in some circles; “As above so below. As within so with out.” Meaning what is held in our highest consciousness will express itself below in our heart and what is held in our heart of hearts will determine our life.

“You are loved and cherished, dearly, forever.”

“You have nothing to fear.”

“There is nothing you can do wrong.”
